What to Expect from Acupuncture
Acupuncture begins with a detailed intake and individualized assessment. At Ocean Healing Acupuncture, I use traditional tongue and pulse diagnosis to help identify patterns of imbalance and create a treatment tailored specifically to you. Every practitioner has their own approach—some providers, such as Paikea, do not routinely include tongue diagnosis.
Acupuncture isn't only for pain or illness. You can enjoy treatments simply to relax, reduce stress, restore balance, and support overall well-being.
Hair-thin, sterile needles are gently placed at specific points along the body's meridian pathways. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing and may feel calm, dreamy, or even euphoric during and after treatment.
Cupping may also be incorporated to encourage circulation and release tension, while electroacupuncture (E-stim) can be added when appropriate, particularly for chronic or more severe pain.
Each treatment is uniquely tailored to your body and what you need that day.
Prices
First appointment is $160
Follow up visits are $125
First appointment is about 75-90 min follow up visits are 50-60 min.

Acupressure, E-stim, and herbal recommendations.
I also sell herbal teas and pills which I can special order. Price starts at $40.

My practice accepts insurance for patients. In order to best serve you I can verify your insurance benefits before you arrive. Please click on the button below and complete the online form. I will contact you as soon as the benefits are established. I am in network with Regence Bluecross Blueshield, United, Humana, VA (needs referral) ASH, Intercommunity Health and First Choice/Kaiser. I can also accept out of network insurances if your plan covers it.
